the canlas family

meet our first family model from the fall retreat, in sundance, utah -- the canlas family.  we met jon at his FIND workshop and we fell in love with him and his awesome personality.  so we decided to ask jon if his family would be interested in being one of our family models.  he said that he would talk to his wife about it and shared that they had NEVER had family photos done.  

OMG!! really?  you're a photographer and you don't have any photos of your own family?

the reality is that this happens way too often -- photographers with no family photos of their own, like the cobbler whose children have no shoes.  of course, we encouraged him to please participate so we could change that!  gratefully, he did.  and jon's entire family are all as joyful and wonderful as he is!

we also wanted to say a special thanks to jon for being the most-fabulous guest speaker at our retreat. everyone loved him; he was a true inspiration to all.

the photos below are a mix of digital and film.  we wanted to give jon some film shots since film is his passion, heart and soul.
