shine brightly

there are times when i get so excited i could burst.  so inspired.  and not just by a photograph...but by an idea, a connection...something that means so much to me.  just giddy.  

and this is one of those times.  

we came up with the idea of our scholarship but knew it wouldn't be right for us to choose the winners. we needed judges...would anyone be willing?  would anyone be able to take the time out of there busy schedules to help us out?  we threw out some names, agreed and emailed them.  hoping to get at least three out of the four, they all whole heartedly agreed.  because that is who they are.  not only talented and inspiring, but giving and sharing of their gifts.

but what really got me going is when i started thinking about this connection...to each other and to us. it must be why we were drawn to them in the first place.  they are who they are.  they put themselves out there. they do what they believe in and are so passionate about it.  they are not afraid to share because they are confident in who they are and their styles shine brightly.  they sing loudly.  all the things we believe in and try and share at our retreats.

to make things even better, over the next few days we are going to be interviewing these amazing artists -- and sharing some of their thoughts and photographs.  i can't wait!!
