this-n-that
there has been so much going on lately! deb has been moving across the country (from kansas to tampa) and leah has been busy with her three kids and their summer activities and working on her new wallflower action | preset collection (see below). both have been doing lots of shooting and have also had the honor of participating in a couple recent photography interviews -- you can read the interviews here, on creative mama and here, on all things baby.
we want to hear from you.
we talk so much about ideas we have for this blog -- but in the end, it always comes down to the fact that we want to give our readers what YOU want. we've tossed around lots of ideas and then decided we should just ask! so what is it...what do you want us to discuss or share here on the wallflower friends blog? what do you want to learn? what do you need to grow? please let us know your thoughts and ideas in the comments...we can't wait to read them!!
new actions and presets
leah just released her new wallflower collection. this collection was inspired by the most beautiful group of women--our very first wallflower friends. be sure and check them out!
space still available
there are still a few seats available for the fall 2010 retreat, held at the magestic sundance resort, utah. we are so excited for this retreat and have a lovely group of people coming together for it. if you are interested, be sure to register soon before the retreat is completely full!
learning and growing
we both strongly believe in continuing education, not only in photography, but in all professions -- a focused time and place to learn, grow and be inspired by others. and we're excited to share that in a little over a week, we will be attending jonathan canlas' film is not dead workshop, in san diego. we are so excited to expand into film...learn and grow! who knows where this will take us but our minds are hearts are open!!
also, we're so thrilled that jonathan will be a special guest -- sharing with us, at our fall wallflower friends retreat.

note: the above shots are all film photographs (shot with nikon f100 | fuji pro color film).

I hope this isn't too obnoxious. Here are a few things, I'd love to see:
1. A feature where you highlight some of your favorite photographers or past workshop attendees.
2. Photo critiques--maybe a group on Flickr that we can post images to and you chose one a week to critique?
3. Portfolio reviews (paid of course!)
4. Inspiration (whatever form it may be in--books, art, a location, a poem, etc.)
5. Links to articles of interest
6. Random tips whether it be on light, PS, interacting w/client, etc.
:)
i would love to learn a little about how you guys get such great flare! excited for utah, hope to register in the next few days....
great ideas! thank you so much for the feedback!
i would like to see maybe a step by step edit --of sorts--
or maybe a SOOC and EDIT
